turning back the clock

for those who don’t know, i just recently watched the most bizarre episode of Hannah Montana, where the tabloids mistake her brother as her boyfriend, hilarity and all stereotypes about trailer trash incest, ensues (please ignore the fact that i was watching Hannah Montana late on a Sunday night)

okay of perhaps equal importance is the fact that i gave my 360 away to my nephew (uncle of the year is me) this has forced me to turn back on my PS2 and continue what i left behind. this course of action made me realize superiority of NCAA 07 on PS2 over 08 on 360. On 08 gameplay is solid, super sim is great, and the screenshot option is every dynasty geek’s dream, but it just lacked that college feel to make me want to play several seasons. 07 has it all,

some key elements missing from 08 that hinder lasting appeal
- players running the field
- custom fan signs
- sideline and crowd atmosphere
- alternate jerseys
- the fact that you can’t view a player’s hometown during the season
- user friendly menus
- position rank (wtf, why does 08 list overall rank)

Also some Boise state guy is on the cover, compared to Reggie Bush.

anyways here’s a quick summary of where i’m at. its 2018, still no national title in 13 years of play for the Joe Namath led Crimson Tide. But they are 11-1 heading into the SEC Title game with a rematch against Tennessee (their only loss). Bama is ranked #4 and they are #2 in the BCS. The winner will most likely play #1 UCLA in the title game. Bama will pass #3 UND, because the Tide beat them earlier in the season and because they are catholic

after this i will attempt to break the coaching win record (this may take two years, real years that is, it will probably take 20 dynasty years), most likely this will not be done with bama (it will be weird to use Bama without CL playing with Zona – he’s moved on to more important things, like a career, marriage and other games on the 360 like Guitar Hero and Skate) So a move to either Austin or El Paso to break the win record is on the horizon
